Romeinen 9:32

SV	Waarom? Omdat zij [die zochten] niet uit het geloof, maar als uit de werken der wet, want zij hebben zich gestoten aan den steen des aanstoots;

Alex	δια τι οτι ουκ εκ πιστεως αλλ ως εξ εργων προσεκοψαν τω λιθω του προσκομματος
ASV	Wherefore? Because [they sought it] not by faith, but as it were by works. They stumbled at the stone of stumbling;
BE	Why? Because they were not searching for it by faith, but by works. They came up against the stone which was in the way;
Byz	δια τι οτι ουκ εκ πιστεως αλλ ως εξ εργων νομου προσεκοψαν γαρ τω λιθω του προσκομματος
Darby	Wherefore? Because [it was] not on the principle of faith, but as of works. They have stumbled at the stumblingstone,

LSG	Pourquoi? Parce qu'Israël l'a cherchée, non par la foi, mais comme provenant des oeuvres. Ils se sont heurtés contre la pierre d'achoppement,
Pesh	ܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܕܢܡܘܤܐ ܐܬܬܩܠܘ ܓܝܪ ܒܟܐܦܐ ܕܬܘܩܠܬܐ ܀
Sch	Warum? Weil es nicht aus Glauben geschah, sondern aus Werken. Sie haben sich gestoßen an dem Stein des Anstoßes,
Web	Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling-stone;
Weym	And why? Because they were pursuing a righteousness which should arise not from faith, but from what they regarded as merit. They stuck their foot against the stone which lay in their way;
